Envoyage Announces the 2025 Canadian Icons Heading to South Africa

Flight Centre Travel Group’s independent membership network, Envoyage, is preparing to welcome its top performers to South Africa for the highly-anticipated global reward event, Icons.

Those who have qualified will be treated to an immersive cultural adventure beginning in Johannesburg, before spending two nights at Bakubung Lodge in Pilanesberg National Park and a final night at the Palace of the Lost City in Sun City.

This year’s Canadian Icons are:

· Julie Smigadis, Travel our World

 Ellen Lezcano, Atlas Travel Solutions

· Mike Sanderson, Up, Up and Away Travel

· John Castell

· Joanne Roberts

· Lisa Kraiger, West Canadian Travel

· Tammy Newman

· Adam Taylor, Altitude Travel

· Roxy Rae

· Christine Wilson

Flight Centre Travel Group Global Managing Director Luxury & Independent brands Danielle Galloway said Icons epitomizes Envoyage’s commitment to recognising excellence in entrepreneurship.

“Recognition is powerful. Every milestone celebrated builds momentum and reinforces the strength of our Envoyage community,” said Galloway. “Icons is one of the ways we embody the core values of our global brand. At this sensational event, we reward and celebrate entrepreneurialism, lean into engagement by creating unique experiences and opportunities for connection, and encourage endurance through a membership community where success is visible, shared, and used to inspire the next move forward.”

“Envoyage has been the biggest support in my business this year. From accounting to supplier relations, tools, and business development, I’ve felt backed every step of the way,” said Roxy Rae. “The resources are thoughtful, practical, and designed with our success in mind. Being named an Envoyage Icon and walking beside such inspiring, passionate professionals in South Africa is a dream come true. These are the people I’ve looked up to since day one — and to now stand among them is incredibly humbling.”

The Canadian Icons will join other travel advisors from the Envoyage network across Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and the US. Icons will precede Envoyage’s global member conference, Worldwide, which will welcome 400 Envoyage members to Sun City from 12-15 September 2025.
