Aurora Expeditions has named Beth Mercier as vice president of sales, North America.
Mercier brings to the role 15 years of experience. She’s served in executive leadership roles across expedition and small-ship cruising, and her expertise spans both advisor and operator roles.
As vice president of sales, North America, Mercier will lead the company’s growth strategy and work to strengthen trade partnerships.
Mercier joins from Terra Nova Expeditions, where she served as chief commercial officer since 2025. Her duties have been passed on to Ross Avenell, who was named head of global sales last week.
“Beth has been a fantastic contributor during an important phase of Terra Nova’s development,” said Greg Carter, founder and CEO of Terra Nova Expeditions. “She helped lay the foundations for our commercial strategy and partnerships, and we are grateful for her dedication and energy. We wish her every success in her next chapter.”
Mercier confirmed the appointment with Travel Market Report, stating she was “excited” to start the position this week.
“Beth’s deep experience within the polar expedition sector, combined with her background across both advisor and operator roles, makes her a strong addition to the team,” said David Tanguay, head of global sales at Aurora Expeditions. “She will play an important role in strengthening our presence in North America and continuing to build momentum across the market.”
