Holland America continues its staggered return-to-sailing over the weekend with Noordam, the eighth ship in its fleet to return to service, resuming sailing from Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday.

The ship is currently sailing a 21-day Panama Canal cruise to Vancouver, Canada. From there, the ship is scheduled to sail Alaska itineraries through September. Noordam will be one of four ships to homeport out of Vancouver in 2022.

Noordam’s schedule out of Vancouver includes one special 14-day Great Alaska Explorer cruise along with a series of longer cruisetours that combine a three-, four- or seven-day Alaska cruise with an overland exploration of Denali National Park.

From there, Noordam will sail a 34-day Pacific Ocean crossing from San Diego to Sydney, followed by a 35-day Australian Circumnavigation roundtrip from Sydney with 15 calls around Australia.

“We are excited to welcome guests aboard Noordam once again as we continue the pace of having all 11 of our ships back in service by June,” said Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line.

“With each relaunch, we are able to bring more of our team members back on board and into the Holland America Line family. They have been waiting for this day to welcome our guests and get back to cruising.”

Looking ahead, Holland America will restart its other ships through June—Oosterdam will restart on May 8 out of Venice; Zaandam will do the same on May 12 out of Ft. Lauderdale; Westerdam will restart on June 12 out of Seattle. Holland America’s Koningsdam was the first cruise ship to return to Canada following the two-year absence.
