Magic Castle Conjurer’s Cruise to Set Sail in October

by Briana Bonfiglio  August 15, 2023
Magic Castle Conjurer’s Cruise to Set Sail in October

Princess Cruises

Themed cruises can be a blast for travelers who are into a specific niche. For magic enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys live performances with an element of surprise, the Magic Castle Conjurer’s Cruise is just for them.

The magical illusion-themed cruise will take place on Princess Cruises’ Discovery Princess along the California coast October 7 to 14, 2023. It will bring Hollywood’s famous Magic Castle, a mecca of magic acts and home to the Academy of Magical Arts, to sea for the first time.

“With this inaugural Magic Castle Conjurer’s Cruise, for the first time, Magic Castle Enterprises will offer elements of the Magic Castle experience outside the walls of our members-only establishment,” said Erika Larsen, president of Magic Castle Enterprises. “The cruise will be a true celebration of the magical arts, connecting magicians from our acclaimed community with enthusiasts who are fascinated by this mysterious world. We look forward to sharing the magic as we sail upon the stunning Discovery Princess, making our way along our gorgeous, and native, California coast.”

The seven-day cruise will sail roundtrip from Los Angeles and make stops at San Fransisco, San Diego, and Ensenada, Mexico. Discovery Princess, the newest ship in the Princess fleet, will be decked out in rare magic memorabilia, posters, and themed spaces.

Activities on the cruise will include performances by top magicians, magic workshops and lectures, “Magic of Cooking” demonstrations, Magic Castle-themed cocktail parties, movies under the stars, and a special presentation from the founding family of the Magic Castle, which has been a staple in the magic scene for 60 years.

The cruise line is encouraging fans to contact their travel advisors to book their spot on the exciting sailing “before it disappears.”
