Silversea Cruises Switches to New Three Fare System

Silversea Cruises is enhancing its fare structure to provide guests with a choice of an all-inclusive package that incudes shore excursions or a fare that does not. A third fare is available for clients booking a cruise within five months of departure.

The new system replaces its previous Door-to-Door, Port-to-Port (which launched in 2021), and Essential fare offerings. Any of these bookings made prior to Sept. 11, 2025, will be honored as the fare type reserved until departure date regardless of sailing year.

Starting Beginning Sept. 11, 2025, guests can choose from All-Inclusive Plus, All-Inclusive, or Last Minute. Regardless of fare type, Silversea’s all-inclusive onboard offering will remain consistent.

“The Luxury of Choice reflects our deep commitment to delivering on the feedback of our guests,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea. “Our guests consistently tell us that they value flexibility in their travels. With our new fare options, we’re empowering them to personalize every aspect of their journey — from start to finish — while continuing to enjoy our signature all-inclusive onboard experience, which is one of the most comprehensive at sea.”

Silversea’s All-Inclusive Plus Fare

The new All-Inclusive Plus fare provides the greatest value by providing guests with a generous shore excursion credit – determined by the length and region of the sailing. The fare requires a refundable deposit and comes with the brand’s Fare Guarantee.

All expedition voyages will continue to offer included shore excursions as part of the experience, as well as Zodiac tours, expert lectures, in-country flights, and pre-/post-cruise hotel nights as required by the destination, and other customary inclusions.

Silversea’s All-Inclusive Fare

The All-Inclusive fare will be available exclusively on oceangoing (ie, non-expedition) voyages and allows guests the flexibility to purchase shore excursions a la carte, either before the cruise or on board. All-Inclusive fares require a non-refundable deposit.

Silversea’s Last Minute Fare

Available on select oceangoing and expedition voyages within five months of departure, the Last Minute fare offers guests savings on the full price of the cruise. With this fare, the deposit is non-refundable and the total payment must be paid in full at the time of booking.

All fares allow guests to personalize their travel experiences with pre- and post-cruise add-ons – including air travel, hotels, transfers, and land experiences.

New Shore Excursion Categories

With the introduction of its enhanced fare structure, Silversea is also evolving its offering of shore excursions, providing more opportunities for guests to personalize their voyages through a range of all-new experience types:

  • Highlight Experiences: tours of iconic sites
  • Signature Experiences: smaller tours, crafted by Silversea
  • Private Experiences: exclusive tours for a group of guests
  • Custom Experiences: tailor-made tours
  • Overland Experiences: two- or three-day mid-cruise inland tours (available on select voyages)

The brand recently launched City Stays by Silversea —curated pre- and post-cruise hotel stays in some of the world’s most iconic destinations, such as Copenhagen, Rome, Barcelona, and Athens. City Stays by Silversea enable guests to live like locals in a centrally-located, luxury hotel with personalized service, immersing them in their embarkation/debarkation city while offering a turnkey solution to their ground arrangements.
