Update: Hostage Situation at Radisson Blu in Mali “Over”
Dozens of hostages taken at the Radisson Blu in Mali have been freed, Reuters reported. At least 27 people were reported dead by Malian officials.
Attackers took 170 people hostage early Friday morning. Air France, which had 12 crew members staying at the hotel, said they have all been rescued. The Rezidor Hotel Group, which runs the luxury hotel, has set up special phone lines for families who may have been affected.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
