A-list actor Brad Pitt is moving into the hospitality industry with plans to build a new luxury resort in the coastal town of Zablace, Croatia.
The movie star, who has visited Croatia before with wife Angelia Jolie and their children, toured the proposed site last week with acclaimed architect Nikola Bašic.
The resort will include a hotel, villas, restaurants, shops and a golf course, carrying a price tag of over $ 1.5 billion. It’s designed to be part of a larger ecologically-responsible development, with new schools and a clinic, that will incorporate a community of 2,500 residents.
While no timeline for the project has been announced, Swiss-based fund TFI Holding is reported to have already invested $70 million in the construction of the site.
