Every Room is a Suite: Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa Unveils Transformation

Every Room is a Suite: Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa Unveils Transformation

Saint Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa.

Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa welcomed guests back on October 17 following its annual fall closure, unveiling a US$14 million transformation of all 250 guest rooms in the adults-only Harmony Wing and family-friendly Splash Wing, now all Junior Suites.

The investment is the largest room project in Coconut Bay’s more than 20-year history.

“This project represents more than new rooms. It reflects our commitment to continually enhancing the guest experience, for the many repeat guests who return to Coconut Bay year after year, as well as those discovering us for the first time,” said Mark Adams, President and CEO.

“We have always believed that by listening to our guests and looking at what we can do better, we can elevate every Coconut Bay getaway. This is a significant milestone for us, and we’re incredibly proud of the work that has gone into creating more modern, comfortable accommodations that our guests will enjoy for years to come.”

The work went well beyond new furnishings and décor. Each room was stripped back to the studs and completely rebuilt within its existing footprint, including the bathrooms, with sleek white granite countertops, vessel sinks and new finishes and fixtures.

Harmony Junior Suites now feature spacious walk-in glass showers, while Splash Junior Suites offer full-size bathtubs. Guests will also find practical updates including blackout curtains, upgraded air conditioning, convenient 110V and 220V outlets, and full-length mirrors integrated into stylish sliding barn doors.

In Splash, ocean-inspired shades of blue, crisp white furnishings, twin trundle beds and sea turtle artwork complement the family-friendly design.

Harmony features warm mahogany furniture and comfortable seating areas. All Junior Suites also feature private patios or balconies, with views ranging from tropical gardens and resort pools to the Atlantic Ocean and Maria Islands Nature Reserve.

An additional US$4 million has been directed toward improvements across the property. Among the additions are the adults-only Oceanside Bar & Grill in Harmony, along with a new swim-up bar at the Harmony Oasis Pool. Coconut Walk Marketplace and Silk restaurant have been refreshed, the restrooms at Trattoria and La Luna have been renovated, and the main Entertainment Stage restrooms have been remodelled.

“We can’t wait to welcome our guests back to experience all the additions and changes we made during this year’s closure,” said General Manager John Miles.

“The project list was extensive, with improvements across the property reflecting our ongoing commitment to making each stay better than the last. Many of the changes, especially in Harmony, were inspired by suggestions from our valued extended family of guests. Their feedback helps us understand what matters most to them, and we’re always looking for ways to build on what they already love about Coconut Bay.”

Coconut Bay vacation packages and group travel can be booked through Air Canada Vacations, WestJet Vacations and Sunwing Vacations.

Advisors can also earn CBAYREWARD$ of up to $70 per 7-night booking by signing up and registering their bookings at CBAYREWARDS.COM. There are no points to track or manage.

For those who want to experience the resort firsthand, special travel agent rates are available to Canadian advisors starting from US$369 per night, based on double occupancy.
