Hilton Brings Curio Brand to Reykjavik

by Jessica Montevago  March 01, 2016

Hilton Worldwide inked a deal with Icelandair Hotels to bring two Curio hotels to Reykjavik, both slated to open in 2018.

The Reykjavik Consulate Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, a short distance from the Harpa Conference and Concert Hall, will feature 50 guestrooms and a spa inspired by the tradition of natural bathing in Icelandic culture.

The Iceland Parliament Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, will be–as the name suggests–directly opposite Reykjavik’s parliament building and the city’s main square. The 160-room hotel will include a museum displaying Iceland’s history of democracy.

The company already operates the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. It also plans to open Canopy by Hilton, which is currently under construction in the city’s downtown and scheduled to open this summer.

Hilton’s Curio brand is a global set of upscale and luxury hotels hand-picked for their distinctive character and personality; there are currently 22 worldwide.
