In summer 2026, Club Med will open its first South African resort along the country’s Dolphin Coast. The beachside property will mix surf and safari experiences with a location about 30 minutes from King Shaka International Airport and 40 minutes from Durban. Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari will feature 411 guestrooms spread across a few different buildings, four pools, a wellness center and spa, and several international and local dining options.

Notably, Club Med will debut the brand’s first-ever surf school for ages 6 and up, and offer guests access to the private Mpilo Safari Lodge about four hours from the new beach resort. The lodge is located on the 18,000-hectare Hluhluwe game reserve, home to the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and Cape buffalo. It features 75 premium safari tents and all the comforts of Club Med, in addition to offering guided wildlife tours.

Hilton will open Conrad Athens The Ilisian by June 2026. The hotel features 307 guest rooms, suites, and residences, including a penthouse with a private pool. The property also sports the city center’s largest outdoor hotel pool, a private outdoor running track, and pickleball courts, as well as a full-service spa and a ’60s-themed kids club.

For dining, guests have an option of nine bars and restaurants – some of them international brands and others Conrad-brand signatures, such as The Galaxy Dispensary and upscale Galaxy Supper Club. The Ilisian will not only be home to Conrad Athens, but also Waldorf Astoria Residences, Conrad Residences, and House of NYNN member’s club. The complex is set to offer retail, events, and more, within walking distance of Athens’ most desirable attractions.

Delano Miami Beach

South Beach’s iconic Delano Miami Beach property makes its anticipated return in 2026, under the management of Accor’s fast-growing lifestyle company, Ennismore. The reimagined hotel will feature 171 guestrooms and suites, including the Poolside Bungalow Suites and the Penthouse Suite.

Delano Miami Beach will also offer four distinct bar and restaurant concepts, including a revitalized Rose Bar, which was a staple of the hotel in its former iteration. The entire, renovated building pays homage to its Art Deco roots with preservation of historical features and through new elegant design features.

Mandarin Oriental is expanding into Malaysia with the opening of Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast in January 2026. The luxury hotel operator is rebranding an existing resort on the country’s southeastern coast – a property that’s surrounded by 128 acres of rainforest and opens up to a pristine stretch of beach overlooking the South China Sea.

The resort features 44 suites and villas, many with private gardens and plunge pools, and five restaurants. After the rebrand, it will also offer Spa at Mandarin Oriental, a large indoor-outdoor Kids Club, a yoga pavilion, fitness center, beauty salon, and sporting facilities, including paddle and tennis courts. Golf enthusiasts will also have easy access to the nearby Els Club Desaru Coast, home to two championship courses.

Orient Express Venezia at Palazzo Donà Giovannelli

Following the relaunch of the Orient Express brand in 2025, Accor is continuing to roll out trains, hotels, and yachts under the storied name. Orient Express Venezia at Palazzo Donà Giovannelli is part of that grand initiative and will open after an extensive eight-year renovation in April 2026.

The 15th-century Venetian palace was once home to the Duke of Urbino and the Donà and Giovannelli families. Once Orient Express Venezia at Palazzo Donà Giovannelli officially launches, the historic structure will feature 47 guestrooms, suites, and salons.

Currently operating as Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni, the hotel joined the World of Hyatt portfolio earlier this year and will realize its full potential once the transformation is complete.

Park Hyatt Vancouver will have fully enhanced and elevated guestrooms, residential style lobby, public spaces, and a spa. Housed in the tallest building in the Vancouver skyline, the rooms offer sweeping views of the harbor, mountains, and cityscape. The hotel also features the recently renovated Italian restaurant Carlino. It will be the first Park Hyatt in Vancouver and the fifth Hyatt hotel in British Columbia.

The signature Six Senses Spa will offer everything discerning wellness guests have come to expect from the brand, including London’s first hotel magnesium pool, a flotation pod, cryotherapy chamber, and movement studios. For dining, the hotel will have Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café serving British cuisine.

The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok

Langham Hospitality Group has restored Bangkok’s historic Custom House and made it the centerpiece of the brand’s newest luxury hotel, expected to open sometime next year along the Chao Praya River in the Thai capital’s Bang Rak District. The property will also make use of a former post office for its lavish amenities and a modern structure for its 78 guest rooms.

The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok will feature original design elements, such as the 1888 building’s teak floors, grand central staircase, and four-story hallway, which once hosts soirees for Thailand royalty. At the same time, the hotel will bring guests staples of The Langham brand, including its Chuan Spa and an outpost of Langham Hong Kong’s three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant, T’ang Court.
