Hard Rock International this week announced plans to build a signature resort at Lake Texoma, on the Texas-Oklahoma state border.

The resort, called Hard Rock Hotel at Lake Texoma and The Residences at the Hard Rock Hotel Lake Texoma, is currently scheduled to open in Q2 of 2026, with construction starting in March 2024. The resort will be built with the Pointe Vista development, a 2,700-acre planned community in Marshall County, Okla. that sits on 19 miles of Lake Texoma shoreline.

Plans for the new Hard Rock call for 189 rooms, with 25 suites, and 168 residences onsite. There will also be 18,000 sq. ft. of event space, which Hard Rock says will serve both corporate events and weddings.

Outside of the accommodations and meeting space, the resort’s plans also include an 11-acre water area with white sand beaches and cabanas, a signature Rock Spa and Body Rock Fitness centers, a kids club, a rooftop bar, and both fine and all-day dining.

The resort’s location on Lake Texoma, the 14th largest reservoir in the U.S. that attracts seven million tourists annually, and at the Pointe Vista development will also give guests access to other attractions close by including a golf course, 320-slip marina, and more.

Both Hard Rock and Pointe Vista said that the goal is to make the resort a year-round attraction.

“We’re excited to expand our award-winning hotel portfolio and bring our unique brand of hospitality and entertainment to Lake Texoma and the Pointe Vista development,” said Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hotel Development for Hard Rock International.
