Amtrak Offering Free WiFi on Auto Train

Passengers on Amtrak’s Auto Train will now be able to connect to free WiFi called AmtrakConnect. Amtrak estimates that in the coming months, about 90% of passengers traveling on Auto Train and other routes will be able to connect to WiFi. The plan is for all single-level trains traveling long distance to be equipped with WiFi in 2016, as part of the company’s effort to enhance its passenger experience. Amtrak senior vice president Mark Murphy said the move “demonstrates yet another reason why Amtrak is a smarter way to travel.”
