Dates Set For New York Times 2018 Travel Show

by Richard D'Ambrosio  June 22, 2017

The 2018 New York Times Travel Show will take place Jan. 26-28, 2018, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

The expo and conference will open with a Trade Day, open exclusively to travel industry professionals and writers, Friday, Jan. 26, and then will be open to the general public on Saturday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Jan. 28.

Considered the largest travel trade and consumer convention in North America, the show hit a new record in 2017 with 560 companies representing over 170 countries, while overall attendance was 30,099—the highest in the trade show’s 15-year history.

The largest growth was from consumer attendees (20,846), representing an estimated $100 million in travel spend in the next 12 months.

Approximately 9,200 trade members attended, including more than 4,500 travel agents representing an estimated $3 billion in travel volume, according to Travel Show survey results.

Anne Marie Moebes, executive vice president at Travel Market Report, is on the travel show’s advisory board, and once again will participate in one of the Trade Day panel discussions.
