Marriott International has appointed three seasoned executives to new regional leadership positions following the announcement of two retirements in the company.
Brian King, president of enterprise transformation and Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), and Liam Brown, group president of U.S. and Canada, will both step down from their roles by the end of March and retire from Marriott by the end of June 2026.
To fill their positions, Marriott has made three key appointments, all of whom will report to Marriott President and CEO Anthony Capuano, effective March 28, 2026:
- Satya Anand, currently president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), will become group president of U.S., Canada, and CALA. He is a 37-year Marriott veteran who has served as president of EMEA since 2020 and will now oversee U.S., Canada, and CALA in a new role that unites the regions under a single structure.
- Neal Jones, currently COO for Europe and Africa and global leader for Design Hotels, will be the new president of EMEA. Jones has three decades of experience at Marriott and previously was chief sales and marketing officer for EMEA. He’ll now oversee more than 1,300 properties representing 30 brands in 80 countries in the region.
- Federico “Fede” Greppi, currently COO for CALA, will now be the region’s president. He brings more than 22 years of hospitality experience, including 13 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The Argentina native has helped grow Marriott’s CALA product to 500 properties across 37 markets.
“Today’s appointments position Marriott for our next chapter of growth,” Capuano said. “I’m confident these leaders will advance our strategy and continue to nurture the culture that sets Marriott apart.”
While they’ll leave their roles in March, King and Brown will remain with Marriott in consulting capacities through June to ensure a smooth transition. King was with the company for three decades and Brown for nearly four decades. Capuano praised both men as “extraordinary leaders whose impact on Marriott and our people cannot be overstated.”
“They have guided our company through pivotal moments with vision, integrity, and a deep commitment to our associates, guests and owners,” he added. “While we will miss Liam and Brian, we are grateful for their decades of service and the lasting legacy they leave behind.”
