Waldorf Astoria has debuted in Morocco with a property in the nation’s capital of Rabat.
The new Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé brings 55 guest rooms, luxury amenities, and panoramic river and ocean views to a central location where the twin cities of Rabat and Salé meet. The hotel is just minutes from Rabat-Salé International Airport and connected to Casablanca and Tangier via high-speed rail.
“We are proud to bring the iconic Waldorf Astoria brand to Rabat-Salé, setting a new benchmark for refined luxury in Morocco’s capital,” said Guy Hutchinson, president of Middle East and Africa at Hilton. “This opening marks an exciting new chapter for the brand as we continue to expand our luxury portfolio across key cities, offering discerning travelers unparalleled access to the heritage, artistry, and ambition that defines this destination.”
Hutchinson called Morocco “one of the world’s most rapidly evolving destinations.” The country welcomed more than 18 million tourists in 2025, with Rabat playing “a growing role” in the national goal to reach 20 million by 2030, he said.
Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé weaves celestial motifs throughout its design, features a Waldorf Astoria Spa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and other areas of the hotel with views of the Bouregreg River. The hotel is home to one of North Africa’s largest curated art collections with more than 7,000 pieces.
The property offers an indoor pool, ocean-facing infinity pool, 24-hour modernized gym, and relaxation lounge. There are also five distinct restaurants, a grand ballroom, and three meeting spaces.
