Review: ME Cabo and Paradisus Los Cabos Resorts Unveil New Features

Review: ME Cabo and Paradisus Los Cabos Resorts Unveil New Features

The Los Cabos VIP Summit 2025 was held from November 16 to 19, and for the occasion we spent the week discovering the magnificent Los Cabos region, while also learning more about this destination whose luxury tourism offerings continue to grow. Then from November 20 to 23, we had the chance to take part in a post-fam trip with Meliá Hotels, staying at two properties belonging to the Spanish hotel chain: Paradisus Los Cabos and ME Cabo, both of which have recently introduced interesting new features. Here’s a look.

Paradisus Los Cabos, now an adults-only property

The all-inclusive Paradisus chain is a personal favorite—having tried many all-inclusive hotel brands—because it offers excellent value for the price, considering the very high quality of its offerings. Providing a more upscale product than most all-inclusive chains we know, Paradisus operates four resorts in Mexico: one in Cancún, two in Riviera Maya, and one in Los Cabos. The Los Cabos property—the most beautiful one, having visited them all—opened in 2018 and, a few years later, became a member of Leading Hotels of the World, no less. Last year, the resort was converted to be adults-only.

“This decision was carefully considered and, given that Los Cabos is not typically the top destination for families, it just made sense—and our guests appreciate it. Los Cabos is either a very festive or very romantic destination; our guests are couples or groups, so we adjusted our offering to cater to them,” explained Cristina Quintana, Marketing Manager for the Paradisus and ME Cabo hotels.

The Paradisus brand, still far too little known, is nonetheless a hidden gem in the all-inclusive market. These are luxurious resorts offering high-end dining, outstanding service, stylish and elegant rooms and spaces, as well as exclusive areas for added comfort. The Reserve is a ‘hotel within a hotel,’ featuring its own dedicated pool, an exclusive restaurant, a lounge, and upgraded rooms. However, even without staying in The Reserve, there is no need to compromise on luxury.

“Unfortunately, we still have too few Canadian guests, explained Ms. Quintana. “Our average rate is higher than many other all-inclusive chains, which are more visible or commercial, and I believe that is the main barrier. However, those who stay with us afterwards swear by Paradisus. Once you visit one of our resorts, you understand why you pay a little more and you absolutely don’t regret it.”

What truly sets Paradisus Los Cabos apart is, of course, the beauty of the property, the shared spaces, and the surroundings. Earth tones are present throughout the decor, creating a serene, calming atmosphere, and the thoughtful touches make all the difference for a luxurious stay. Located on one of the region’s rare swimmable beaches, in a quiet bay, it is a genuine treasure. Everything is included, with guests able to choose between the Mexican restaurant Cielo, the Japanese restaurant, the Italian restaurant Cappella, the resort’s one and only buffet, the 24/7 coffee shop and ice cream counter, 24-hour room service, and the in-room mini-bar, also included. A steakhouse is offered as well—complimentary for guests staying in The Reserve—and a rooftop bar was recently inaugurated.

Yoga and stretching classes are offered daily at no extra cost, along with many other activities. The YHI Spa provides aesthetic treatments and (amazing) massages as well as a thermotherapy circuit. A fitness center, a pickleball court, and a medical clinic complete the on-site wellness offerings.

Paradisus Los Cabos is a stunning 350-suites resort that delivers all the advantages of a luxurious boutique hotel, but in an all-inclusive format. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little extra.

ME Cabo, freshly renovated

In the heart of the action in Cabo San Lucas, ME Cabo attracts young-at-heart travelers who want to have fun and enjoy the festive spirit of Los Cabos. Located just steps from the marina, directly on the lively Medano Beach, ME Cabo offers a different atmosphere but a product just as high in quality. To begin with, this boutique hotel of only 169 rooms is not all-inclusive. Ideally situated, guests are encouraged to explore Cabo San Lucas and the nearby restaurants and cafés, as everything is within walking distance—one of ME Cabo’s greatest advantages.

The property, which has just completed major renovations, features a highly artistic and modern design, with its open-air lobby offering an unparalleled view of the Arch, its chic lobby bar, and impressive artworks on every floor (an art tour is even offered directly at the hotel). It’s very sexy!

“ME is very high-energy,’ explains Cristina Quintana. ‘It’s a different product, but one that is extremely popular with our guests. First, our food and beverage offering is entirely provided in partnership with the Rosanegra Group, which operates many successful restaurants in the region. We therefore have a beach club open for lunch and dinner, a rooftop restaurant, and a asian-fusion restaurant on site, all run by our partner. We also host guest DJs day and night on weekends — it’s truly the perfect place to have fun.’

Let me reassure you: even though I’m not personally a partygoer, I slept very well — even though I was staying there over a weekend — since the beach club stops the music at midnight. From Sunday to Thursday, however, the atmosphere is different, so guests can choose their travel dates accordingly. It’s only ‘party time’ two nights per week and, based on my experience, it’s not at all intolerable.

ME Cabo

We particularly loved the property’s design, the stunning lobby, the gorgeous rooftop where you can enjoy a drink, the spacious rooms all with balconies, the unbeatable location, the convenience of being able to walk everywhere, and, once again, the fact that it sits directly on a swimmable beach. If you want to be in the heart of the action, within walking distance of everything, in a luxurious hotel that feels brand new, ME Cabo is for you.
