Shangri-La Group has signed a management agreement with United Bodrum Turizm A.Ş. for a new resort in Bodrum, Turkey that will open in 2029.

The Shangri-La Bodrum will feature 70 guest rooms and 10 private villas, a private beach, and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, all set in a luxurious coastal location on the northwest end of the Bodrum peninsula.

“Bodrum’s spectacular natural setting, international appeal, and rising recognition as a global luxury hub make it an exceptional addition to our portfolio,” said Chee Wui Chua, executive director and CFO of Shangri-La Group. “We are delighted to bring Shangri-La’s timeless hospitality and contemporary sophistication to this remarkable corner of the world.”

The new resort, slated to open in the first half of 2029, will be a 10-minute drive from the popular Yalıkavak Marina and next door to the luxury real estate complex, The One Bodrum development.

The Shangri-La Bodrum will be the hotel brand’s second property in Turkey, joining the Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul. The expansion in Turkey is part of Shangri-La’s long-term growth plan to bring its signature Asian hospitality and elegance to Europe and the Middle East.
