Secrets Playa Mujeres Reopens After Extensive Renovations

Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, an adults-only all-inclusive just north of Cancun, has reopened following extensive renovations. 

The property, located 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport, now has newly redesigned accommodations, refreshed and relocated public spaces, and an elevated spa, dining, and entertainment.  

“We are thrilled to debut the newly renovated Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort following extensive enhancements to elevate the guest experience,” said Mauricio Martinez, the resort’s general manager. “The resort delivers Secrets Resorts & Spas signature blend of romance, relaxation, and elevated experiences, while also offering guests seeking a more active getaway access to a world-class golf course and a unique mix of leisure and stunning coastal scenery that truly sets it apart.”   

Guests will notice changes to the resort upon arrival, as the check-in area has been moved closer to the guest rooms, and the Rendezvous bar has been relocated to the former main lobby area.  

The resort’s Preferred Club lounge is now housed in brand-new, two-story building with a dedicated check-in lounge on the first floor and an exclusive ocean view restaurant on the second floor. Preferred Club members can also enjoy a newly constructed private beach club. 

Secrets Playa Mujeres’ guest rooms have been updated with a contemporary coastal design that utilizes natural textures, soft fabrics and color palettes, and organic shapes within a fluid layout.  

Desires Night Club and Coco Café have both been refreshed, and next month, enhancements to the Secrets Spa will be revealed. New culinary experiences at the Bordeaux will also launch next February.
