The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman Scores Rare Trifecta of Industry Honours
by Marsha Mowers
The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman has been awarded a prestigious MICHELIN Key in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide’s international hotel selection, becoming the only property in the Caribbean and the Americas to hold the rare trifecta of Forbes Travel Guide Triple Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond, and MICHELIN Key accolades.
The MICHELIN Key distinction celebrates the world’s most exceptional hotels, evaluated by MICHELIN inspectors on five criteria — design, service, character, value, and overall guest experience. The 2025 edition marks the first time MICHELIN has included hotels from the Caribbean, recognizing just 51 properties across the region, including two in the Cayman Islands.
With this milestone, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman stands as the Caribbean’s most decorated luxury resort.
This latest honour further cements The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman’s reputation as one of the world’s leading luxury resorts, already home to the Caribbean’s only Forbes Travel Guide Triple Five-Star rating and AAA Five Diamond restaurant, Blue by Eric Ripert.
