Viceroy Hotels & Resorts has appointed Arash Azarbarzin as CEO and David Solis as vice president of global luxury and leisure sales.
Azarbarzin brings more than 40 years of luxury and lifestyle hospitality experience to the dual role as Viceroy CEO and principal at Highgate, Viceroy’s parent company. He leads the brand during a significant milestone in its reimagined global expansion: Viceroy recently announced a partnership with African Bush Camps for three safari lodges in Botswana and Zambia and has several openings planned in New York, Idaho, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
“I am honored to take on this role and build upon Viceroy’s legacy as the premier luxury lifestyle brand.” Azarbarzin said. “Looking ahead, my focus will be on expanding Viceroy’s global footprint and setting new benchmarks for immersive hospitality, and ensuring every Viceroy destination creates lasting memories for our guests.”
On the sales side, Solis brings more than two decades of experience in luxury travel sales and partnerships. He has previously held leadership positions with Four Seasons
Hotels & Resorts, Virtuoso, EDITION Hotels, and Kerzner International, and most recently was an executive at Ultimate Jet Vacations.
To round out the new leadership team, Viceroy has appointed Patrick Pahlke as chief commercial officer, Megan Mulholland as senior vice president of brand marketing & wellness, and Shel Buhler as vice president of food & beverage.
