Wyndham Launches Newest Brand, Dazzler Select, in Orlando

Wyndham Hotel Group on Monday celebrated the first of what it hopes will be many hotels joining a new brand, Dazzler Select by Wyndham, at The Magic Moment Resort & Kids Club in Kissimmee, Florida.

Dazzler Select is an extension of Dazzler by Wyndham, a boutique-inspired brand that Wyndham pitches as a way to preserve a hotel’s individual branding while also incorporating it into the Wyndham ecosystem, including its Wyndham Rewards loyalty program.

The Magic Moment Resort & Kids Club is the first of Wyndham’s Dazzler Select properties, located just outside the gates of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. That hotel was built by two independent owners, Ariel Tomat and Carina Radonich, who now join Wyndham’s Women Own the Room program, which is aimed at getting more women into hotel development.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts president and CEO Geoff Ballotti said that the goal is for independent hotels to be able to keep their individuality and character, while also getting access to all the perks that a big hotel company like Wyndham can offer.

“Dazzler Select gives owners the freedom to preserve their hotel’s character while leveraging the scale, reach, and resources of the world’s largest hotel franchisor. It’s a game-changing opportunity for independents, delivered by the Company that knows these travelers best,” he said.

Wyndham says that two more hotels have already been signed, and that another 25 are “in active discussions.” The goal is to build the Dazzler Select portfolio to 50 over the next five years.

All hotels joining Dazzler Select must carry a 4.0 guest rating or higher, Wyndham said, and must include a slew of perks for guests, including free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour water and coffee station, one complimentary breakfast item per guest, and “boutique-inspired design elements.”
