Air Canada Vacations Updates Self-Service Booking Tools
by Sarah Milner /Air Canada Vacations (ACV) has unveiled enhanced self-service booking tools, aimed to add flexibility for travel advisors and customers.
ACV’s updated tools will allow advisors to add the CareFree and CareFlex travel protection plans up to 48 hours after the booking. These programs allow travellers to transfer their package, change their departure date, destination or hotel, and cancel with a full refund up to 21 days prior to departure, or cancel with an in-house credit up to 3 days prior to departure. Advisors earn 20% commission on CareFree and CareFlex plans. Other add-ons, such as private transfers, certain excursions, and even meal plans (where available), can also be made post-booking via the new tools.
Air Canada Vacations has also enhanced its self-serve tools for cruise bookings made via the online platform, GDS, and its call center. Advisors can access all of the updated tools through ACV’s website and all external distribution channels (Sirev, Galileo Vacations, and Sabre Vacations through TripBook).
“These enhancements underscore our unwavering commitment to innovation and responsiveness to the needs of our valued travel partners,” said Nino Montagnese, vice president at Air Canada Vacations. “Through the continuous refinement of our self-service tools, Air Canada Vacations aims to enhance the booking experience for both travel agents and customers alike, ensuring a seamless and stress-free travel planning process.”
