Intrepid Travel has added 28 new active trips for 2026 to help meet what it calls the surging demand for health, nature and adventure-driven travel.

The new Intrepid Travel collection spans six continents and includes hiking, cycling, kayaking, snorkeling, and rafting.

Advisors can now offer clients everything from:

  • 4-day Premium Walking & Trekking in Peru with a guided tour in Machu Picchu
  • 9-day Central America: Hike, Bike & Kayak trip with a sunrise volcano hike in Guatemala;
  • 7-day Croatia and Montenegro: Hike, Bike & Raft itinerary through Europe’s deepest canyon.

With these additions, Intrepid’s active range now totals 148 trips across five multi-active, 21 walking and trekking, and two cycling itineraries.

Intrepid Travel is seeing strong momentum in its active adventure portfolio, with sales in this category up 9% over 2024. Multi-active trips, which combine activities such as cycling, hiking, and kayaking, are leading the way with a 23% increase in bookings.

Intrepid says the growth reflects a broader global trend – cycling tourism is projected to nearly double over the next decade, while hiking tours are expanding at approximately 6% annually.

“Intrepid’s style of travel has always resonated with people seeking active adventure, which makes this broader societal shift towards health and wellbeing especially exciting” says Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel.

“For many travellers, the best way to unwind is by moving, and that’s exactly what our active adventures are all about. These trips let travellers move, explore and reconnect with nature, while sharing the experiences with a community of like-minded travellers. This style of travel takes you beyond the beaten path to hard-to-reach places, offering unique and immersive experiences that take you to the very heart of a destination.”

Intrepid’s new active trips are available to book and will depart from February 2026. For the full list of new active trips and for more information, visit https://www.intrepidtravel.com/new-trips
