Tauck Launches Women-Only Departures for Europe 2026

Family-owned tour operator Tauck has unveiled three women-only Europe departures, set to premiere later this year.

Women-only group travel is on the rise. Tauck is meeting this demand with three small group journeys, exclusively for women, now available for booking. The departures were created to foster community and cultural discovery, and are part of the tour operator’s 2026 Europe offering, with departures in Ireland, Italy, and Portugal.

“The response to our Cruise Control: A Riverboat Retreat for Women in Travel affirmed what we were already seeing across the industry—women are seeking travel experiences that offer not just discovery, but genuine connection and community,” said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh.

The three departures are led by a female Tauck Director. The eight-day itineraries average 20 to 24 guests per group, and the price includes airport transfers, accommodations, exclusive experiences, and most meals. The trips are scheduled consecutively in September and October, allowing guests to extend their travel across multiple journeys.

A Week In… Ireland departs on Sept. 23 and explores the Emerald Isle, complete with a two-night castle stay and a cooking workshop at Ballyknocken House.

A Week In… Piedmont departs on Oct. 1. Guests will immerse themselves in Italy’s slow-food heartland, with wine tastings, a chef-hosted cooking class, and a visit to the iconic Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa.

A Week In… Portugal departs on Oct. 10 and journeys from Porto to Lisbon. Highlights include wine tastings, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and a private farewell dinner at the 18th-century Palácio de Queluz.

“Whether it’s mothers and daughters marking a milestone, sisters planning a long-awaited journey, friends reuniting for a special getaway, or solo travelers looking to connect with like-minded women, these departures offer another layer—a built-in sense of ease, encouragement, and belonging,” said Tombaugh.
