Hilton Veteran Danny Hughes to Lead Americas Division

Hilton and hospitality industry veteran Danny Hughes has been named executive vice president and president of Hilton’s Americas region.
Effective Sept. 4, Hughes will oversee Hilton’s interests across North, Central and South America, with a focus on enhancing the managed portfolio.
Hughes has been with Hilton for three decades. His most recent role was senior vice president and commercial director of Hilton’s Revenue Management and Sales team in the Americas. Since 2014, he led more than 4,000 team members, delivering growth for Hilton’s portfolio of 14 brands.
Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of Latin America and the Caribbean for seven years, where he oversaw the expansion of nine brands across 25 countries and territories.
Hughes will report to Hilton’s president and chief executive officer, Christopher J. Nassetta, and will remain based at the company’s global headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
