Hilton has rebranded the former Mondrian Los Angeles as The Valorian Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton.
The luxury hotel, located in the center of Sunset Boulevard, has been an iconic staple of the Sunset Strip since it opened in 1996. The property also had a significant refresh in 2018 and now enters yet another new chapter as it joins Hilton.
“The Valorian is a natural fit for Curio Collection by Hilton,” said Brooke Thomas, brand leader for Curio Collection by Hilton. “It captures the creative spirit and cultural energy that define West Hollywood, while delivering a one-of-a-kind experience that is deeply rooted in its location. That is exactly the kind of experience Curio Collection is built to offer across its growing global portfolio.”

Under this new repositioning, The Valorian Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton, is operated by Pivot, the lifestyle operating group of Davidson Hospitality Group, and joins the Hilton Honors program.
The hotel’s modern style will remain the same, with bold design throughout and rotating art installations and cultural activations rooted in West Hollywood. The property’s signature restaurant, Casa Madera, will also continue operating as usual.
This relaunch does mark the debut of the White Rabbit Sky Lounge, formerly known as Skybar. This venue will offer day-to-night programming with panoramic views of Hollywood Hills and the downtown Los Angeles skyline.
“The Valorian marks the next evolution of a hotel that has long helped define the Sunset Strip,” said Randy Diamond, regional vice president of operations at Pivot. “We are preserving the edge, creativity and sense of occasion that made this property iconic, while elevating the guest experience through a refined new identity, Hilton’s global platform, and the introduction of White Rabbit Sky Lounge for the next era of West Hollywood.”
