ASTA Appoints New Leadership for Membership, Marketing, and Communications
by Briana Bonfiglio
The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has made three leadership appointments on its membership, marketing, and communications team.
The organization has appointed Pam Bonin as senior director of member care and services and Jaci Miller as director of membership sales and engagement. In addition, Margo Van Ness has been promoted to senior director of marketing and communications.
“This announcement reflects the strong talent we have within ASTA and the importance of aligning our teams around the work that matters most: serving our members, growing our reach, and strengthening the value and visibility of the travel advisor profession,” said ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby. “Pam, Jaci, and Margo have each demonstrated a deep commitment to ASTA and its members, and I am confident they will make a significant impact in these roles.”
Bonin’s role focuses on providing member support and ensuring members stay connected with ASTA’s programs, resources, events and advocacy wok, while Miller will focus on gaining new members to the organization. Van Ness’s expanded role oversees ASTA’s visibility in the industry and among members with its messaging, brand, campaigns, and stakeholder communications. All three positions are part of ASTA’s Senior Staff.
The news comes after Michael Schottey departed ASTA as vice president of membership, marketing, and communications last week.
