CLIA and Travel Institute Partner on Education Programs for Travel Agents

by Anna Gleksman  March 08, 2016

The Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) and The Travel Institute are working together to help educate travel professionals.

Effective immediately, 2015 and 2016 graduates of CLIA’s Accredited Cruise Counselor (ACC) and Master Cruise Counselor (MCC) programs will get three free months of basic membership in The Travel Institute.

At the same time, 2015 and 2016 graduates of the Travel Institute’s Certified Travel Associate (CTA), Certified Travel Counselor (CTC), and Certified Industry Travel Executive (CITE) programs who enroll in CLIA’s ACC or MCC programs will get 10 continuing education credits toward their annual CEU requirement, plus two free classes from CLIA.

The two groups will be developing more programs under the partnership as well, including a Travel Institute webinar series designed to teach leadership skills called “Learn. Lead. Innovate.” It is scheduled to debut in the next quarter.
