The Travel Institute is naming Scott Moore, CTC, the current director of Key Accounts and Partnerships at Celestyal, to its Board of Directors.

Moore, who has spent more than four decades in travel going back to Continental Airlines in 1985, will join a board that already includes the likes of AmaWaterways’ Alex Pinelo, Travefy’s David Chait, WTH/Dream Vacations’ Drew Daly, Nexion’s Jackie Friedman, and many more.

Moore has been with Celestyal since the beginning of 2024. Prior to that, he spent time with American Queen Voyages, the Scenic Group, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World Parks, and Royal Caribbean.

In the announcement, Moore, who earned his CTC certification in the 1990s and is working on his CTIE today, said he was “honored” to serve on the board of directors.

“I know first-hand how critical education is to a travel professional’s success. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members and other industry leaders to ensure our students continue to thrive,” he said.

Moore, and the rest of the board, will work with the new president of the Travel Institute, Taylor Ahlsmith Ruecking, who was named president in January after being with The Travel Institute for 11 years.
