Canadian ultra-lost-cost carrier swoop unveiled today more additions to its domestic schedule ahead of the summer travel season.

Swoop is adding service between London, ON (YXU) and Abbotsford (YXX), and restarting seasonal service between Hamilton (YHM) and Charlottetown (YYG). The airline will also restart service from Deer Lake, NL (YDF), with flights operating six times weekly from Hamilton (YHM) and Toronto (YYZ).

All-in prices for those flights start at $39 CAD.

The airline is also flying from Edmonton (YEG) and Abbotsford (YXX) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and Los Cabos (SJD) through the end of June. Those flights start at $119.00 CAD all-in one-way.

“As Canada’s leading ultra-not-expensive airline, we’re proud to be expanding our footprint from coast to coast with our summer schedule,” said Bob Cummings, President of Swoop. “Convenience and affordability are paramount, so we’re focusing our ultra-not-expensive flights in true ULCC markets that enable more Canadians to explore their big, beautiful backyard.”

Swoop now flies to over 100 U.S., Mexico, and Caribbean sun destinations each week, including eight different routes from Hamilton. That schedule, which includes 24 total weekly departures, features cities including Ft. Lauderdale, Cancun, Las Vegas, Orlando, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, and more.

Swoop has been undertaking a rapid expansion since its launch in 2018. Bert van der Stege, Swoop’s head of commercial and finance, spoke to TMR last year and said that travelers should expect Swoop to continue that rapid expansion, both inside and outside Canada.
