Ixtapan Spa Yoga & Fitness Resort in Ixtapan de la Sal, Mexico is offering travel agents the chance to see the resort ahead of the early 2020 opening of its new 180-room main building and spa.

The trips will be hosted on June 2-6 and June 2-9 with 60 percent off the inclusive brochure rates. It includes meals, up to 17 organic face and hair treatments, yoga, bottled water, round-trip transfers, 10 percent tips and 17 percent government taxes.

Just 65 miles southwest of Mexico City, Ixtapan Spa is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains at an altitude of 6,100 feet. Spanning 42 acres, the hotel and spa complex houses several pools, a modern fitness center, and tennis courts.

Each of the three spas serves a different purpose. Spa Serene is value-oriented, catering to American clientele as a destination spa. The Holistic Spa offers a high-end experience, blending Eastern and Western treatments, from Indian Abhyanga and Chinese reflexology to Swedish massage. The Shangri La Spa consists of 20 private mineral baths surrounded in Italian marble, onyx and granite.

Ixtapan de la Sal, known to the ancients for its volcanic thermal springs, is popular for its many wellness stores and services. Hotel guests can take optional excursions to colonial sites like Taxco and Cuernavaca.

The spa is fully inclusive at discounted rates: $615 for a four-night stay; $899 for a seven-night stay; $675 single occupancy for a four-night stay; and $1,025 single occupancy for a seven-night stay. Email ixtapan@spamexico.com or call 1-800-IXTAPAN.
