Fairfield by Marriott Makes European Debut in Copenhagen
by Briana Bonfiglio /Fairfield by Marriott has launched in Europe with the opening of Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn.
The brand’s first European hotel, located on the waterfront of Copenhagen’s North Harbour district, has 222 guestrooms, 20 of them boasting sea views.
“As the brand’s inaugural property in Europe, the opening of Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn marks a significant milestone in our strategic growth plan for the Fairfield by Marriott brand,” said Mary Garris, vice president of Classic Select Global Brand Management at Marriott. “Fairfield by Marriott is known for its rich heritage that values a simple, seamless, and stress-free experience which pairs well with modern Scandinavian culture and design, making Copenhagen the ideal city to introduce our European-inspired aesthetic.”
Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn captures the Danish essence of “hygge” in its simple, contemporary design. The hotel features flexible public spaces, a 24/7 on-the-go market, and The Social Market, which offers complimentary breakfast.
Fairfield by Marriott, Marriott Bonvoy’s second largest brand, has 17 more properties planned for Europe and the Middle East, including Fairfield by Marriott Bordeaux Train Station (France), Fairfield by Marriott Erding (Germany), Fairfield by Marriott Istanbul Yenibosna (Turkey), and Fairfield by Marriott Warwick (United Kingdom), set to open between 2025 and 2027.
