Air Canada’s New Motorcoach Service Links Hamilton & Waterloo Airports With Pearson

Air Canada’s New Motorcoach Service Links Hamilton & Waterloo Airports With Pearson

Intermodal transport from Air Canada.

Air Canada has launched a new motorcoach service that offers residents of the Hamilton-Wentworth and Waterloo Region one-stop access to the airline’s global network.

Announced back in February, the new service will connect two local airports to Pearson via luxury coach buses, courtesy of The Landline Company. The flight-on-a-bus operator has provided similar land-connection services for America Airlines and United Airlines.

“We are committed to improving regional services and this innovative partnership is a testament to that,” said Ranbir Singh, director regional airlines and markets at Air Canada. “Passengers who choose to travel between airports using Landline’s top-tier motorcoaches will enjoy similar benefits as those who opt for air-only connections: a convenient single itinerary, when departing Hamilton or the Region of Waterloo, disruption protection and Aeroplan earning opportunities.”

Landline will operate six non-stop round trips daily to Toronto Pearson International Airport from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and the Region of Waterloo International Airport. Guests will check in as normal for their flight at their home airport, then board the motorcoach to Pearson, where they will go directly through security.

The new service offers customers the option to create a single itinerary. There is no additional cost for the motorcoach connecting service when it is paired with an Air Canada ticket.

“This innovative new service aligns with Hamilton International’s commitment to provide a comfortable, convenient travel experience for passengers and expands access between our region and Air Canada’s global network,” said Cole Horncastle, executive managing director of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

The Landline collaboration is a trial initiative for Hamilton and Kitchener/Waterloo, with potential for similar offerings elsewhere in Canada in the future.
