Air Canada Adds Weekly Toronto–Guatemala City Service for Winter 2026–27

by Bruce Parkinson  August 20, 2026
Air Canada Adds Weekly Toronto–Guatemala City Service for Winter 2026–27

Air Canada will fly to Guatemala from Toronto this winter.

Air Canada is expanding its Central American network for winter 2026–27 with a new weekly nonstop service between Toronto Pearson and Guatemala City.

The new service launches December 1 and will operate Tuesdays with a Boeing 777-300. Air Canada has opened reservations for the route, which will be operated as flight AC1300 from Toronto to Guatemala City and AC1301 on the return.

AC1300 will depart Toronto at 6:15 p.m., arriving in Guatemala City at 10:30 p.m. The return flight, AC1301, departs Guatemala City at 10:30 a.m. and arrives in Toronto at 4:30 p.m.

The Toronto service builds on Air Canada’s growing presence in Guatemala and follows the introduction of Montréal–Guatemala City service.

New Guatemala Touring Options

Air Canada Vacations is offering a collection of curated guided tours ranging from seven to 16 days for travel during the peak dry season.

Among the offerings is The Mayan Explorer, which combines Guatemala’s major cultural and natural attractions, including colonial Antigua, the colourful market at Chichicastenango, Lake Atitlán and the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal.

The tours include accommodations and transfers, allowing travellers to experience several regions without arranging the individual components themselves. Packages also include round-trip flights, taxes, a first checked bag and Aeroplan points, with travel protection options available.

For travel advisors, the new Toronto service provides another gateway to sell Guatemala as a multi-stop cultural and experiential destination, particularly when combined with Air Canada Vacations’ escorted touring products.

The addition also strengthens Air Canada’s winter connectivity between Canada and Central America at a time when travellers are increasingly seeking destinations offering cultural experiences, history, nature and outdoor adventure.
