Air Canada Launches Free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan Members

Air Canada is now offering free Wi-Fi to its passengers.

The airline on Thursday launched its new free Wi-Fi service through its ongoing partnership with Bell, making it available to all Aeroplan members flying across North America and to and from sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. It had announced plans for the addition late last year.

The news means about 88% of Air Canada’s fleet is now equipped with free Wi-Fi. The rest of its fleet is expected to gain the service by early 2026, including Air Canada Express planes serving Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ), which should come online later this year, and the remaining international routes outside North America.

As with other carriers, Air Canada requires passengers to log in with their loyalty program account in order to access onboard Wi-Fi. For easier access, passengers are encouraged to add their Aeroplan number at the time of booking or before completing check-in.
