Alaska Airlines is bulking up its footprint in the Lone Star State, announcing plans to introduce nonstop seasonal service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport next summer.
The route will operate once weekly on Saturdays, running from June 12 through August 7, 2027. For DFW travelers, the addition layers onto Alaska’s existing footprint out of the North Texas mega-hub, complementing its current nonstop service to West Coast hubs in Seattle, San Diego, and Portland.
Alaska will fly the service on its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which includes 161 total seats—16 First Class recliner seats, 30 Premium Class seats, and 115 Main Cabin seats. The aircraft features Alaska’s standard domestic product, including power at every seat, streaming inflight entertainment, and satellite Wi-Fi.
