American Express continues to roll out new Centurion Lounges for its card members, debuting a new location at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) this week.

The new Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport clocks in at a massive 26,000 sq. ft., making it the largest lounge in Amex’s Centurion Lounge network.

The lounge is located in Concourse E near the airport’s gate E11. It includes many of the signature Centurion Lounge amenities, including workstations, phone booths, restrooms, shower suites, and several seating areas equipped with heaters and fans for use year-round. It also includes a lot of unique features for an airport lounge, including:

  • The Reserve by American Express, the first dedicated whiskey bar in a Centurion Lounge that includes indoor seating and outdoor terraces with views of Hartsfield’s airfield. The Reserve features a menu that includes five specialty whiskey cocktails, including a peach-flavored option called Drink a Peach, along with 30 classic and new American whiskeys, 10 hand-selected wines, and a local cocktail menu that includes some alcohol-free options.
  • Soul food options curated by Atlanta’s own Chef Deborah VanTrece, who owns Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours, Oreatha’s At The Point, and La Panarda in the city. VanTrece’s menu includes Black Eyed Pea Biryani, Za’atar Grilled Chicken Thighs with Green Tomato Chimichurri, and Twisted Soul Salad with Strawberry Peppercorn Vinaigrette. There are also some specific gluten-free and vegan options.
  • A design that takes inspiration from Atlanta’s reputation as the “City in the Forest,” which comes from the amount of trees inside the city limits compared to other major U.S. cities. That includes a 50-year-old olive tree in the main seating area, along with a 3,850 custom light sculpture, representing a forest canopy, hung above.

The new lounge makes 28 total Centurion Lounges for American Express, with more in the pipeline, too, including new locations at Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Washington, D.C., and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey.

American Express is not the only credit card company expanding its lounge offerings recently, either. Chase recently opened a new signature Sapphire Lounge at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, a sprawling 21,000-foot location in Terminal B. The lounge, now open, is the third airport location to open under the Chase banner; the other two are in Hong Kong and Boston.
