Virgin Hotels is Coming to Atlanta
by Briana Bonfiglio
Virgin Hotels Collection’s lifestyle brand, Virgin Hotels, will debut in Atlanta in 2027.
In partnership with real estate developer Drew Company, the 261-room hotel will be the new cornerstone of Centennial Yards, a 50-acre mixed-use development that’s revitalizing downtown Atlanta.
“With Virgin Hotels Atlanta, we want to bring our signature mix of heartfelt service, bold design and playful spirit to a property that feels rooted in Atlanta and perfectly matched to the energy of Centennial Yards,” said Joe Margison, CEO of Virgin Hotels. “It’s a city Virgin knows well, with Virgin Atlantic connecting customers to London and Manchester daily and across the U.S. in partnership with Delta Air Lines. It’s exciting to deepen that connection and create a new way for guests to experience the Virgin brand in one of the most dynamic cities in the U.S.”

Virgin Hotels Atlanta’s guest rooms will feature the brand’s signature “Chambers” concept, offering multi-functional space to rest, work, and play. The design-forward accommodations will include 21 Grand King Chambers and 21 One-Bedroom Suites, as well as the crowning residential Penthouse Suite and “Richard’s Flat.”
The hotel will aim to become a vibrant social destination for guests and locals alike, especially with its ground-floor lobby bar, rooftop bar and lounge, and signature restaurant and pool bar. The property will have a large pool deck with 10 private cabanas, a seasonal exterior bar, and an adjacent event lawn.
Virgin Hotels Atlanta will join Virgin Hotels’ other lifestyle hotels in cities such as New York, Edinburgh, and most recently, London. It will be the 18th property in the overall Virgin Hotels Collection portfolio; Virgin Limited Edition, the company’s luxury brand, will also open a property in 2027 in Marrakech.
