CLEAR Launches EnVe Pods for Faster Airport Verification
by Daniel McCarthy /CLEAR has introduced new technology called EnVe pods (short for Enrollment Verification) at 12 airports to make its service even faster for members.
The company says the pods will reduce the time it takes to verify travelers—no fingerprint or eye scan will be required. Instead, the pods will use high-resolution, wide-angle cameras to identify users. According to CLEAR, the process will be five times faster than the current system. There is no additional cost for current CLEAR members.
As of Nov. 25, the pods are live at 12 airports, including major hubs like Denver International (DEN), New York’s JFK International (JFK), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and San Francisco International (SFO). CLEAR says the pods will roll out to all 58 airports in its network by the end of 2025.
