Club Med has opened Club Med Kiroro Grand, its fourth mountain resort in Hokkaido, Japan.

The all-inclusive resort brand is expanding in the popular ski region following the success of Club Med Kiroro Peak’s opening in 2022.

“The decision to establish Club Med here is inspired by the region’s unparalleled reputation for exceptional skiing experiences with its untouched white powder slopes,” said Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO, North America and the Caribbean, at Club Med. “Beyond the breathtaking landscapes and surrounding culture, guests can immerse in endless ski adventures, while enjoying après-ski activities like the traditional Japanese onsen and the resort’s Japanese-inspired restaurants.

Club Med Kiroro Grand has 266 guestrooms, four restaurants, and a main bar. It will offer all-inclusive ski packages with unlimited access to 23 courses, lift passes, and group ski and snowboard lessons, as well as night skiing, off-piste slopes on the Asari and Nagamine mountains, and spring skiing until May.

In addition to skiing, the resort offers guests Club Med’s very-first Japanese onsen, an indoor heated swimming pool, and yoga and cardio classes. For extra costs, guests can also visit Club Med Spa by Mandara, journey on a canal tour, participate in glass-making workshops, and visit distilleries in nearby Otaru.

The resort is family-friendly and offers ski lessons for children ages 4 and older, a dedicated Children’s Club for children ages 2 to 17, and daily kids’ entertainment.

Club Med first entered Japan in 1979 and opened its first Japan mountain resort on the northern Japanese Island of Hokkaido, Club Med Kiroro, in 1986.
