Flair Airlines Launches Canada’s First Ticket Resale Service with Fairlyne
by Marsha Mowers
Flair Airlines has announced a new partnership with French travel-tech startup Fairlyne, introducing Canada’s first-ever airline ticket resale service. The new feature will allow travellers holding non-refundable Flair tickets to request a resale of their seat directly through the airline’s website.
The program gives customers more flexibility when plans change: instead of forfeiting the value of a non-refundable fare, eligible passengers will be able to list their seat for resale and receive compensation if another traveller buys it. For Flair, the initiative supports improved seat utilization on high-demand routes while enhancing the overall customer experience with a more flexible, traveller-friendly option.
“This service is about providing passengers with a better experience, even when they can’t travel,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “It’s a smart solution that offers our customers more flexibility while helping us optimize flight occupancy. We’re proud to be among the first to launch this kind of innovation in Canada.”
The airline says the partnership reflects Flair’s ongoing commitment to innovation and improved customer experience, under its Flair FWD strategy announced earlier this year.
Additional Flair FWD customer-focused improvements in 2026, include:
- New Fare Bundles: Four simplified bundles—Basic, Lite, Plus, and MAX—to give travellers more choice and flexibility.
- Ticket Resale with Fairlyne: Flair becomes North America’s first airline to offer secure ticket resale, allowing travellers to resell unused seats and giving others access to lower fares.
- Flair Vacations: Launching this December, offering bundled flights + hotels across Flair’s expanding network, including Mexico, the Southern United States, and the Caribbean.
- A new app: Launching soon, customers can book flights with ease on our new app.
The new resale feature will launch in the coming weeks.
