Porter Airlines is launching the first of four seasonal routes to popular sunny destinations from Edmonton International Airport (YEG). Nonstop service to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR), commenced November 3, inaugurating the airline’s first international flights from Alberta.
The new service will be immediately followed by Phoenix (PHX), Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD), and Las Vegas (LAS), all beginning in November.
“Porter’s presence in Edmonton is growing, along with our expanding North American network,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting. “By introducing nonstop flights to popular vacation destinations in Mexico and the U.S., we are giving local travellers even more options and the benefit of Porter’s distinct elevated comfort for their winter getaways,”
The initial schedule is as follows:
| Route | Start Date | Peak Frequency |
| Edmonton (YEG) – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR) | Nov. 3, 2026 | 3x weekly |
| Edmonton (YEG) – Phoenix (PHX) | Nov. 6, 2026 | Daily |
| Edmonton (YEG) – Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD) | Nov. 16, 2026 | 4x weekly |
| Edmonton (YEG) – Las Vegas (LAS) | Nov. 16, 2026 | 4x weekly |
“Porter Airlines has built a strong foundation in Edmonton through its domestic network, and this expansion into popular sun destinations represents an exciting next chapter in our partnership,” said James Jackson, Vice President, Business and Air Service Development, Edmonton International Airport (YEG).
“Adding four new routes in a single month is a significant commitment to our market and a clear demonstration of confidence in the Edmonton region. We thank Porter for continuing to invest in Edmonton and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”
Vacation packages are also available through Air Transat from Edmonton to Puerto Vallarta, with packages to Los Cabos launching soon.
