Porter Airlines has launched nonstop service between Toronto Pearson and Aruba, marking the first of five new southern destinations joining the carrier’s network over the next several weeks.
The inaugural Toronto–Oranjestad flight departed Friday (Oct. 30), kicking off an ambitious winter expansion that will also see Porter introduce service to Turks and Caicos, Los Cabos, Montego Bay and San Jose, Costa Rica.
The new routes are part of a significant increase in Porter’s winter sun operations from Toronto Pearson, where the airline plans to operate nearly 1,400 flights to southern destinations this season — an increase of more than 115 per cent compared to last winter.
“This is the start of our second winter season at Toronto Pearson to southern destinations beyond the U.S., adding two new countries, five new cities and 10 routes,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting, in a press release. “For Canadians looking for a warm escape, Porter is offering more choice and flexibility for their winter getaways.”

Transat Vacation Packages Available
The expansion also provides additional vacation package opportunities through Porter’s partnership with Transat.
Porter offers nonstop flights in combination with Transat vacation packages from Toronto Pearson to Aruba, Liberia, Grand Cayman, Nassau, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun.
Packages are available through Transat’s full range of distribution channels, including travel agencies, and are currently open for booking.
Porter’s growing southern network is supported by its fleet of 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which have enabled the carrier to expand into new markets across the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
The aircraft feature a two-by-two seating configuration with no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium snacks and free, high-speed Wi-Fi.
Porter is also offering additional sun destinations from other Canadian airports as it continues to expand its network.
