Intrepid Travel has announced Stay Intrepid, a brand extention offering travelers a curated collection of properties paired with immersive experiences.

The new collection of properties can be booked independent of Intrepid tours, but share the tour operator’s sustainability-focused ethos, which prioritizes locally-led, responsible travel. Guests will have access to experiences that connect them to the region’s nature and local communities. Examples include Indigenous guided tours and basket weaving workshops, safari drives, and even cooking classes.

At launch, Stay Intrepid includes six accommodations: five signature properties across Australia, as well as one riad in Morocco. Intrepid plans to grow the portfolio over time, with a goal of 20 properties by 2028.

The current Stay Intrepid collection includes:

  • Daintree Ecolodge: boutique treetop bayans nestled in the heart of Queensland’s ancient Daintree Rainforest
  • Edge of the Bay: a family-run retreat along Tasmania’s Freycinet coastline
  • Arkaba Homestead: a 10-guest restored Outback homestead in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges
  • Bamarru Plains: a safari-style wilderness lodge in Limilngan and neighbouring Aboriginal Lands – Northern Territory
  • Ooraminna Homestead: a rustic yet elevated Outback retreat in Arrernte Country outside Alice Springs
  • Riad Joudour: a historic Marrakech medina in Morocco

“Stay Intrepid represents an exciting next step in our ambition to bring immersive travel experiences to more people around the world,” said Richmond Sear, general manager of Accommodation Australia at Intrepid Travel. “It opens up new opportunities to create stays that are experience-led and rooted in community, aligning with our mission to create positive change through the joy of travel.”
