Intrepid Travel has announced a new range of premium family itineraries, created in response to demand for hassle-free family travel.
The new premium family collection features eight itineraries across Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, India, Borneo, Vietnam, Morocco, Thailand, and Egypt. Designed for groups of three to five like-minded families, Intrepid’s new premium family tours combine top guides, hand-picked accommodations, and more kid-friendly exclusive experiences, making for a more elevated travel experience.
Sample itineraries include a 10-day Morocco journey featuring a stay at a Sahara desert camp with traditional music and stargazing, a nine-day Borneo adventure that includes an overwater villa stay and coral planting workshop, and an eight-day India itinerary that combines visits to the Taj Mahal with wildlife viewing in Keoladeo National Park and Jhalana Leopard Safari Park. Other new departures explore destinations such as Costa Rica, where families can volunteer at a wildlife rescue center and learn from the Indigenous Maleku community, and Egypt, where travelers sail the Nile aboard a luxury cruise and enjoy home-hosted meals with local families.
The family trips are now available to book, with departures starting in December 2026.
The new range was developed in response to increased demand for family travel. In 2025, Intrepid’s family tours recorded 19% year-on-year growth. With the new itineraries, the collection now spans 58 itineraries across six continents and 30 countries, offered in four travel styles: Basix, Original, Comfort, and now Premium.
“The new Premium Family range combines the comfort and convenience of our Premium offering with the immersive, child-friendly format of our Family trips,” said Erica Kritikides, general manager of experiences at Intrepid Travel. “Led by our most experienced local leaders and featuring extensive inclusions, they give families the chance to explore the world together without the stress of planning and logistics, leaving lasting memories that will be talked about for years to come. Holiday time is precious, and at a time when the world can feel increasingly overwhelming and divided, these journeys create space to discover new destinations and reconnect through shared, meaningful experiences.”
