The $20 million renovation of Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is complete.

Playa announced this week that the resort, located just south of Puerto Vallarta on Playa Las Estacas along Mexico’s Pacific Coast, has been fully transformed, with all public spaces, including event areas, refreshed.

The renovation includes updates to all 244 guest rooms in the North Tower, each featuring new A/C systems, smart TVs, Nespresso machines, and more. It also introduces a revamped culinary lineup, highlighted by the opening of Tamara, a new Asian-fusion restaurant offering live Teppanyaki.

Other updates include a completely reimagined kids’ club for children aged 4 to 12, elevated event spaces with a new terrace, updated pickleball courts, and a redesigned lobby.

The resort’s evolution is not yet complete—Melanzanne, an all-new Italian dining concept, will open on-site later this year.

“Delivering exceptional hospitality requires ongoing innovation, and we are excited to unveil these revitalized spaces at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta,” said Fernando Mulet, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts.

“These updates not only enhance the guest experience but also reinforce our commitment to setting new standards in all-inclusive luxury through elevated accommodations and innovative experiences. We can’t wait to welcome guests back to rediscover this stunning resort.”
