Air Canada Vacations is looking for a Key Accounts Manager based in Vancouver. It’s a hybrid sales role and the company says the position will be central to driving strategic partnerships and business growth in the region.
The role combines in-person and virtual engagement strategies, adapting interaction frequency and format based on account tier, performance, and opportunity.
The successful candidate will be a strategic sales professional who leverages market intelligence, product expertise, and data-driven insights to deliver measurable business results while strengthening brand loyalty.

Some key elements of the role:
- Manage a portfolio of key travel agent and trade accounts, delivering a hybrid coverage model that includes both in‑person engagement and a defined portfolio of virtually managed accounts, with a focus on maximizing revenue and strengthening long‑term partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with agency owners, managers, and top-producing advisors through a hybrid engagement model.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing proactive support, insights, and strategic direction.
- Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate performance, uncover opportunities, and define actionable growth plans.
- Drive incremental revenue through tailored sales strategies, targeted promotions, and account-specific business plans.
- Identify new revenue opportunities within existing accounts and actively prospect new high-potential partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to align initiatives with account needs and market demand.
- Co-develop and execute the commercial business plan for the territory in partnership with the General Manager, Sales.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge across the full product portfolio, including Sun, Europe, Cruise, ePackages, Car, Tours, and Groups.
- Position products effectively by articulating key differentiators and competitive advantages to partners.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to maintain a strong market presence.
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions, webinars, and presentations to educate partners on products, destinations, and promotions.
- Support product launches, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives through targeted account engagement.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media content, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Monitor sales performance, account productivity, and market trends within the assigned territory.
- Maintain accurate records of account activity, sales interactions, and follow-ups using CRM systems.
- Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and business updates for internal stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage account escalations professionally, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, familiarization (FAM) trips, and industry events as required.
- Manage territory budgets and submit timely expense reports.
- Undertake other related duties as required to support business objectives.
Position requirements include a college diploma in tourism, three-four years of travel industry experience, solid experience of territory and market and more.
