Goway Hosts Inaugural Meeting of its Travel Advisory Board

The inaugural Goway Travel Advisory Board along with Goway account managers.

Tailor-made travel specialist Goway hosted the inaugural meeting of its Travel Advisory Board last week, marking a new initiative as part of the company’s 55th anniversary celebrations — and emphasizing the company’s commitment to innovation, advisor support, and industry leadership.

The board brings together a group of 10 industry experts representing the best of the travel trade, including leading travel advisors and consortia heads across the United States and Canada. Board members include:

  • Dana Empey (BST Vacations)
  • Cathy Evans (Vista Travel)
  • Adolfo Granadillo (Cruise Planners)
  • Jason Hedrick (Ci Azumano Travel)
  • Leila Lavaee (TTAND: Travel Design by Leila)
  • Peg Mellen (Dream Vacations)
  • Suzanne Pitt (Cruise and Tours Unlimited)
  • Sherry Riggs (WorldVia Travel)
  • Terry Vander Linden (AMA)
  • Sandra Wesson (TDC)

“At Goway, we believe that listening to our travel advisor partners is essential to the growth of our business and the health of the travel industry as a whole,” said Renee Stanton-Defaria, Director of Sales.

Goway’s new Travel Advisory Board will help the company plot its future.

“Our new Travel Advisory Board embodies our commitment to listening to and working with our partners to shape business strategies and deliver the most impact for our partners and their globetrotting clients.”

Stanton-Defaria  said the inaugural session covered a wide range of high-level topics with the express purpose of identifying practical ways of removing barriers for travel advisors and creating a frictionless experience for them and their clients.

The board also identified emerging trends and travel insights, opportunities for product and technological development, and discussed some of the core challenges of travel in a rapidly evolving world.

Goway says the creative insights from the Travel Advisory Board, combined with the valuable feedback from Goway’s community of travel advisors and globetrotters, plays a significant role in the company’s ongoing innovation and development as it embarks on the next 55 years of travel-planning excellence.
