TMR EXCLUSIVE: Flair Vacations President Nicole Bursey with John Kirk
by John Kirk“We’re almost there and we’ve got lots to share.” Those are the words of Nicole Bursey, president of Flair Vacations, the newest entrant in Canada’s competitive tour operator scene.
While Flair Airlines hasn’t engaged much with the travel trade in the past, Bursey says new Flair Airlines CEO Len Corrado is changing things rapidly.
“He came with a very tour operator-friendly, certainly a B2B-friendly past. He’s changing a lot of things within the airline ecosystem, and the biggest change I would say is embracing travel advisors,” Bursey told Travel Market Report Canada’s John Kirk.
“We’re days away from them launching the availability of Flair Airlines in Sirev. We’ve assembled a team of people (at Flair Vacations) that 100% believe in the role of travel advisors,” Bursey added.
Bursey says she believes there’s room in the market for another player. In the first year of Flair Vacations offerings there will be five gateways – Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal – and five destinations – Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana and Montego Bay.
