The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) is offering a limited-time 20% savings on its Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) and Certified Travel Manager (CTM) designation programs.

Professional certification plays an important role in elevating industry standards, strengthening consumer confidence, and recognizing the expertise of travel professionals committed to excellence. The CTC and CTM designations are recognized benchmarks of achievement within Canada’s travel industry, demonstrating advanced knowledge, leadership, and a dedication to ongoing professional development.

Benefits of Earning a CTC or CTM Designation:

  • Enhanced industry credibility and professional recognition.
  • Increased confidence in serving clients and managing complex travel needs.
  • Access to advanced knowledge, leadership development, and strategic business skills.
  • Opportunities for career growth, promotion, and expanded professional networks.

This limited-time promotion provides an exceptional opportunity for travel professionals to advance their careers, gain industry recognition, and contribute to a stronger, more skilled travel workforce.

To enroll, click here and use promo code CERTSAVE20 to receive 20% off. This promotion is available until June 30, 2026.

Additional Pathways to Certification

ACTA also offers an alternative pathway to certification through its Equivalency Conversion Program, allowing experienced travel professionals to obtain the Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) or Certified Travel Manager (CTM) designation based on their industry experience and qualifications. More information is available under the Education section of the ACTA website.

In addition, ACTA is developing a new certification pathway specifically for travel professionals with more than 10 years of industry experience. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.

New for 2026: CTC and CTM Recognition Pins

ACTA is excited to introduce new CTC and CTM designation pins for 2026. These pins proudly recognize the accomplishments and professionalism of certified travel professionals across Canada. New pins will be mailed to current CTC and CTM holders in the coming weeks, providing a visible symbol of their dedication to ongoing professional development and industry excellence.

Recipients are encouraged to showcase their achievement by sharing a photo with their new pin and tagging @ACTACanada_ on social media.

Learn More at an Upcoming Information Session

On June 23, ACTA will host an information session featuring Monica Leduc, Manager of Education & Certification, and Yacine Bimich, Bilingual Membership Manager.

The session will explore the value and impact of CTC and CTM certification, explain the certification process, review eligibility requirements, and provide guidance on preparing for success. Whether you are considering certification for the first time or ready to begin your journey, this session will help you take the next step with confidence. Register here.

Advisor Mike Allard says the CTC program demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, ongoing training, and excellence.

Certification is more than an investment in your career; it is a commitment to excellence and a contribution to the continued growth and professionalism of Canada’s travel industry.

“Shortly after achieving my CTC designation, my business started to take off and I began achieving year-over-year double-digit growth,” said Mike Allard, CTC. “For any travel advisor serious about their business, the CTC program demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, ongoing training, and excellence.”
